The first quarterfinal of the third day of play in Dallas pitted SK and mousesports, with the former coming out on top after winning Mirage, 16-7, and Cache,16-8. Four frags on the T-side pistol round by Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný gave MOUZ the opening round on Mirage, but five clean kills by SK gave the Brazilians the upper hand after the eco. SK were then able to win the first gun round and started to run away with it, 5-1, but MOUZ got a second one on the board, and were able to bring it back to 6-4 after 10 rounds of play. After a tactical pause, SK were finally able to close the half down 9-6. The Brazilians then went on to win the second pistol round, and dismantled MOUZ’ defense as they took round after round, giving up but one in the second half ending it 16-7 and taking the lead in the series. The second map, Cache, started with Marcelo "coldzera" David stopping MOUZ on its tracks with three USP-S headshots, followed up by a double by Fernando "fer" Alvarenga for a 1-0. The first gun round went to the European team, that didn’t want to fall behind, thanks to a triple by oskar with the AWP and a double by Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran, 3-1. Three rounds later, after losing the lead, SK, took a timeout, but MOUZ were still able to take the lead into the half on the attacking side, 8-7. An explosion onto A got SK the second pistol round, tying it up 8-8 and giving the Brazilians the upper hand early in the second half. A double by Epitacio "TACO" de Melo with a Galil gave SK entry into the A site, and the first gun round of the second half.
